Are you still looking for the solution? I can help you find an expert who can look into your query.
Hi Rajesh,
Yes problem is still present: we used another way, using powershell. But by interest I would be curious if something could be found about his question.

Re: Ontap 9.5 P1 Cluster Links both down during/after upgrade
Just had this issue after upgrading to 9.5P3 from 9.4P3. After 2 days of trying to figure it out with Netapp Engineers. The solution was simply to issue the power cycle command (not a node reboot) in the BMC... I like simple solutions but COME ON two days and it was that simple, I feel stupid... Glad it was that easy though... :-)
How to securely wipe out netapp using OnCommand System Manager Version 3.1.1
Dear Community,
I am inheriting a really old Netapp system.
OnCommand System Manager: 3.1.1
I would like to securely wipe out the disk. I have googled and I think "disk sanitize" function is the one I am looking for.
However, is there any step by step to execute this command?
I cant seem to be able to find a step by step guide.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.
SnapCenter Network Port requirements Clarification
I am working on the implementation of SnapCenter in a segmented network with secuirty controlled boundaries and therefore need to be really clear on the ports and protocols that need to be opened between the different SnapCentre elements for it to operate.
I have the Snapcentre install guide and have reviewed as much informationonline as possible but have a couple of things I need to clarify and hope the community can help.
1: Install guide infers that the Windows PLug-in requires direct access to the Vcentre server over 443. is this correct? Seems strange when we have a Vsphere plugin to communicate with Vcentre, and Vmware tools installed.
2: The install guide also states in the requirements for the Windows plug- in that "The communication path needs to be open between the SVM management LIF and the SnapCenter Server.". is this just a comment or a requirement for the windows plugin to be able to communicate withe SVM managment LIF if so on what ports?
Appreciate any guidance/clarifications
Thanks
Why use snap reserve in a flexvol?
Is there any reason to define snap reserve space in a "thick" provisioned flexvol?
In our PROD environment we use autosize (mode: grow) and have autodelete configured for snapshots. By default we create our flexvols with 20% snap reserve. I'm noticing that this is resulting in a lot of unused space.
I have found that 0% snap reserve is recommended for "thin" provisioned volumes and for volumes that contain LUNs.
Thank you.
Re: Very Low Write Performance with Ontap Select 2 Node
Can you specify what "Very Low Performance" means for you?
I started with a One-Node KVM version of Ontap Select with as few as 3MB/s NFS write performance on Sata Disks.
Due to tuning several parameters I got it to 250MB/s what is quite enough for our use as backup.
The host is natively writing 330MB/s peak as NFS to the same disk set (18 Disks Software RAID 6 without hardware cache controller). So the overhead of Ontap Select is quite there but not too bad.
Re: ontap 9.5 - different Algorithms for Flash Cache and READS from SSD ? - did anyone notice a chan
Did you happen to update the SDK to 9.5 for NABOX?
Re: ontap 9.5 - different Algorithms for Flash Cache and READS from SSD ? - did anyone notice a chan
Thanks TMAC - here are our versions on the NABOX side of the house
( BTW - we are using the NABOX ISO image )
NMSDK 9.4.
Harvest 1.4.
Re: ontap 9.5 - different Algorithms for Flash Cache and READS from SSD ? - did anyone notice a chan
yeah... update the SDK & the harvest versions. Both behind!
Up to you if you want to update the NABOX image itself!

OK Will do, thanks, will report back later.....
Powershell show volumes that are encrypted
Hello,
Is it possible to show volums that are encrypted using powershell?
Re: How to securely wipe out netapp using OnCommand System Manager Version 3.1.1
HI
the guide you looking for is at:
https://kb.netapp.com/app/answers/answer_view/a_id/1034477
As in https://kb.netapp.com/app/answers/answer_view/a_id/1072424
You will have to do it via the command line and likely need to install a free licence
- For Data ONTAP 8.0 and earlier, the disk sanitization feature needed a disk sanitization license. These licenses can be found under Master License keys in the Support site.
- For Data ONTAP 8.1 and later, enter the following command to enable the disk sanitization feature:
node> options licensed_feature.disk_sanitization.enable on

Hi
Connect-NcController <clusterName> Get-NcVol | ? Encrypt
Works for me with the latest PS module.

Using Fabricpool in same box
Hi,
If I have a single FAS 2750, having SSD and SAS drives. can I use fabricpool to autotier data between the SSD and SAS drives?
and is it true that I have a 10TB Fabricpool license with the FAS series?
Best Regards,
Jean Youni
Re: Using Fabricpool in same box
Hi there!
Unfortunately we don't provide that functionality at this time - FabricPool needs to tier to a StorageGRID device (and while you could potentially setup StorageGRID to use the SATA storage, it wouldn't be something we'd recommend..)
At this time we include a 10TB FabricPool license with AFF systems and for use on SSD aggregate of FAS systems as detailed at https://kb.netapp.com/app/answers/answer_view/a_id/1001245/~/ontap-fabricpool-%28fp%29-licensing-overview- - this offer may be withdrawn at any time, but that seems unlikely to me. When tiering to StorageGRID, an additional license is not needed
